re-elected as Transport Chair
OTTAWA – March 15, 2010
- Merv Tweed, MP for Brandon-Souris was re-elected as Chairperson of the
Transport, Infrastructure and Communities
Committee today. Tweed was first elected chair in 2006
and has been re-elected at the start of each Parliamentary session.
“I am pleased to be re-elected chair,” said Tweed,
“and I’m honoured to have the continued confidence of the committee.”
The Transport, Infrastructure and Communities Committee is responsible
to ensure a reliable, safe and sustainable
transportation system in Canada and stands under the Ministry in charge
of the recent Building Canada Infrastructure funding.
