Merv Tweed, MP to host Charity Golf Tournament
(Brandon) May 20, 2009 –
Merv Tweed, MP for Brandon-Souris is pleased to
announce he will be hosting a Charity Golf Tournament in support of the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. The event will take place
at the Oak Island Golf Course at Oak Lake
on Friday, June 26.
“I am excited about
putting together an event that will benefit such a worthy organization,”
said Tweed. “Our plans are in place and we are taking
registration on a first come basis, so I encourage anyone interested to
enter today.”
The event will be a Texas
Scramble format with a shotgun start at 12 noon. The registration
fee is $100 per person that includes golf, cart and steak supper. You
may enter as an individual, group or foursome.

before June 19th by visiting Merv

“We have some fantastic
prizes and raffles in store for those who attend and we will continue to
accept donations up until June 26th,” noted
Tweed. “It’s promised to be a day full of fun and
fellowship, and at the end of the day, it’s for charity.”
Net proceeds of the Merv
Tweed Charity Golf Tournament will be donated to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Manitoba.
