Funding of $14,100 to Manitoba Heritage Tattoo
BRANDON – August 19, 2010 -
Merv Tweed, MP for Brandon-Souris, is pleased
to announce funding for the Manitoba Heritage Tattoo to be held October
30-31, 2010 in Brandon.
“Our Government is committed to ensuring that
as many community events as possible can benefit from the Building
Communities Through Arts and Heritage (BCAH) program,” said Tweed.
“This funding will allow Augustfest Brandon to present the Manitoba
Heritage Tattoo.”
“The directors of Augustfest Brandon Incorporated are pleased to
acknowledge the support of Canadian Heritage as they prepare for the
next Manitoba Heritage Tattoo slated for Westman Place October 30-31,
2010,” said David C. Wilson. “This generous grant will enable them
to enhance the historical emphases during the tattoo programming.”
The BCAH program reviews and assesses each application based on merit,
eligible expenses, and overall available resources.
