Melita Library Receives Funding  

Brandon, January 19 – Merv Tweed, Member of Parliament for Brandon-Souris, is pleased to announce funding for upgrades to the Southwestern Manitoba Regional Library in Melita. 

Funding of $8,735 was awarded under the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) to install automatic doors to the library.

“Our Government is supporting organizations like the Melita library to ensure their facility is open to all,” said Tweed. “This project will enable access to an important community service for everyone in Melita and surrounding areas.”  

The EAF is a $45-million, three year commitment to expand opportunities for people with disabilities and improve accessibility across Canada.
