New Tough-on-Crime Laws Pass Successfully July 2007

Dear Constituent,

In this edition of Staying Connected, I would like to outline some of the encouraging success our government has had in changing the Criminal Code. For the safety of our families and communities, it’s more important than ever that we give police the tools that they need to fight crime.

But first I wanted to remind those of you with children about the Fitness Tax Credit. A key promise from the last election, you can now claim on your income taxes up to $500 in sports registration fees for each child under the age of 16. So be sure to save your receipts – and click here for more details.

As we enjoy the warm outdoors – and hopefully some time off with family and friends – I wish you all the best for a safe and happy summer.
